Terms of Use

1. What the Service does

Hokmah Expositor is an AI-assisted workspace for preparing sermons, Bible studies, Sunday School curricula, discipleship tracks, marriage preparation courses, leadership training and small group materials. It uses artificial intelligence to produce analysis, outlines and drafts based on the information you provide.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You can begin with limited free use before signing in. Some features, including paid subscriptions, require signing in with a Google account.

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping access to it secure. Your account is personal. Please tell us promptly if you believe someone has used it without your permission.

3. Free plan and paid subscriptions

Free plan

The free plan offers a limited number of generations each month. We may change the free allowance over time.

Paid plans

Paid subscriptions are offered monthly, every six months or annually, at the prices shown on our website and at checkout, in US dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe. Applicable taxes, if any, are added where required.

Automatic renewal

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and the payment method on file is charged for the next period, until you cancel. If we change the price of your plan, we will tell you at least 30 days before the new price applies to your next renewal.

Cancellation

You can cancel renewal at any time from My Account in the app, or by writing to us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep paid access until then.

Refunds

Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for unused time in a billing period. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days of the charge and we will review it.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, we may retry the charge. If payment cannot be collected, paid access may be paused. Your saved work is not deleted because of a failed payment.

4. Acceptable use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• break the law or violate the rights of others;
• submit content you do not have the right to share, including confidential information about other people shared without authorization;
• try to bypass usage limits, security, authentication or other technical restrictions, including by creating multiple accounts;
• copy, resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service, or access it through automated means, without our written permission;
• reverse engineer or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure;
• use the Service to create content intended to deceive, harass or harm others.

5. Your content and generated material

You keep the rights you have in the content you submit. You give Hokmah a limited permission to store, process and transmit that content, including to the service providers described in our Privacy Policy, only as needed to provide, secure and support the Service.

Between you and Hokmah, you may use the material you generate for your ministry, including preaching, teaching and publishing. Because AI can produce similar results for different people, generated material is not exclusive to you. You are responsible for respecting the rights of others when you use it, including the permission terms of the Bible translations quoted, which belong to their publishers.

6. Our property

The Service, including its software, design, prompts, text, brand and other materials, belongs to Hokmah or its licensors and is protected by law. These Terms do not transfer any of those rights to you beyond the right to use the Service as described here.

7. Availability and changes to the Service

We work to keep the Service available and secure, but it may be interrupted for maintenance, because of failures at our providers or for reasons beyond our control. Features may change over time.

8. Suspension and termination

We may limit, suspend or end access to the Service in cases of violation of these Terms, fraud, security risk, non-payment or legal requirement. Where reasonable, we will act proportionately and let you know. You may stop using the Service at any time and may ask us to delete your account.

9. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the Service and all generated content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Hokmah will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or reputation, arising from your use of the Service or of generated content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, and disputes will be handled by the courts of Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, Brazil. This does not take away any mandatory consumer protection that the law of your country or state of residence gives you. Before starting a formal claim, please write to us so we can try to resolve the matter informally within 30 days.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
